Our Heritage range of self-watering planters are ideal for historic towns and villages

Amberol takes great pride in its heritage and in helping others to maintain and develop their own, whether outside civic buildings, the market square of a historic town or the picturesque village green. Our Heritage planter range is designed to enhance your environment with looks and styles that reflect the history and ambiance of their surroundings.

The advantages of Amberol’s heritage planter range:

Incredible realism - authenticity underpins our Heritage range with our Barrels moulded from genuine whisky barrels and our stone trough from an original 200 year old granite water trough. Combine this with our granite, stone and wooden colour options and our products appear incredibly natural and authentic.

Our products grow old graciously - whilst reflecting history and age within our Heritage range, one of their key benefits is that they are brand new. Produced using a hardwearing polyethylene, our planted barrels are splinter free, don’t rot or rust, maintain their colour and don’t leave any mess.

A mark of quality - Our easy-to-use planters are made in Britain and built to last, with a hardwearing design that is virtually maintenance free. By working to the BSI ISO9001 quality management standard we’ve maintained an efficient process from the design of our products through to manufacture and sales.

How Tidy Randalstown Transformed Their Heritage Town with Amberol Self-Watering Planters
How Tidy Randalstown Transformed Their Heritage Town with Amberol Self-Watering Planters

Tidy Randalstown is a volunteer-led organisation dedicated to maintaining and enhancing the beautiful town of Randalstown, a designated conservation area within the Borough of Antrim and Newtownabbey, Northern Ireland. Known for its rich heritage and the scenic River Maine, the town attracts many visitors, making vibrant floral displays an essential part of its charm. In 2024 and again in 2025, the group used two rounds of funding to invest in Amberol’s self-watering planters, transforming the entrances to Randalstown and the riverside areas into stunning, sustainable showcases of colour.
